Cindy is a dynamic and enthusiastic Pilates Instructor, based in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Cindy received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from California State University of Los Angeles. Cindy had worked in the corporate arena as a Human Resources professional for many years and gained a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skillset that has benefited her in her new Pilates career. Throughout the years, her true passion for Pilates had been growing and continuously knocking on her door. After much dedication and hard work, Cindy is finally living and fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a Pilates Instructor.

Cindy has been interested in the movement of the body and fascinated by the relationship between body and mind, ever since she took gymnastics and ballet as a child, and danced to the rhythms of Salsa, Merengue and Cumbias as a young adult. Cindy was introduced to Pilates in 2001 and it did not take her long to become a passionate believer as she saw how the practice transformed her posture, strength, body awareness, as well as her mind and spirit. She was truly amazed and grateful when she was able to take modified Pilates classes after fracturing her foot in 2004 and was able to strengthen every part of her body in the interim. She began teaching Matwork and Reformer classes in 2015 and studied both through the school of Merrithew Education Program/John Garey Fitness & Pilates, in the Stott Pilates method, pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. In addition, she completed further training in TRX, Barre, Exo-Chair, Bosu, Springboard and much more.

As a Certified Pilates Instructor, Cindy is excited about helping her clients develop more mind/body awareness/connection and to be a stronger version of you. Her unique teaching technique allows for the exercises to become a foundation for transforming everyday movement patterns. These small changes make a huge difference. She ensures to complement all level types for everyBODY, and to incorporate modifications if needed. As Joseph Pilates said, “It’s the mind itself which shapes the body.”

When Cindy is not working, you can find her enjoying time with her lovely family either doing outdoor activities or just relaxing at home. She is a great example to her children and strives to live a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis. In addition to Pilates, Cindy compliments her workouts with spin, yoga, walking, strength training and anything that gets her heartbeat pumping. She continues to educate herself in health and fitness through yearly education workshops (CEC’s) and prides herself on offering her clients an encouraging, thoughtful, yet fun and upbeat class.
